Revive Your Bathroom Design With Fabric

Revive Your Bathroom Design With Fabric Addison Texas

As a general rule, kitchens and bathrooms can be two of the most costly rooms to renovate. Not everyone however, has the budget to tackle a big project like that. If you fall into that category, consider bringing in additional fabric or updating the current fabric that already exists.

If the bathroom is not used regularly you can be a bit more frivolous, investing in luxurious and impractical fabrics. In a bathroom that is used frequently however, you want to go with moisture resistant fabrics that can be washed and stain guarded.

Incorporating fabric is one of the easiest ways to revive your bathroom design, without breaking the bank. If you decide to give this a try, consider these options:

Floor Length Shower Curtains

Whether you’re going for fun or drama, a floor length fabric shower curtain will get the job done. The shower curtain is the focal point of any bathroom, so if anything, this should be the most eye catching piece of fabric in the room. With fabric shower curtains, you have a wide range of options: stripes, florals, checks, solids or a combination of the like. Since moisture collects on the floor, make sure your shower curtain hovers over, rather than touches the floor.

Window Treatments

Just like any other room in the house, a bathroom can also benefit from window treatments. They add a wonderful element of texture to the room and will complete the look of your design. Your style will dictate which type of window treatments you use, and thankfully there are a variety of valances, curtains or shades to choose from. When you do add window treatments, don’t forget details like coordinating embellishments and drapery hardware.

Furniture Cushions

Not every bathroom is a large one, but if you have a big space, which allows you a vanity chair or bench, consider covering it with a beautiful fabric that will compliment the rest of your fabric choices. In most cases, you can remove the seat and recover it on your own quickly and inexpensively.

Embellished Towels

Why stick with solid color towels if you don’t have to? Don’t be afraid to carry your favorite patterns onto your hand and bath towels, by topstitching wide borders of fabric along the edges. It’ll be your choice as to whether these towels will be usable or decoration only. If you do plan on using these towels for regularly, be sure to pre-wash the fabric to avoid shrinkage.
