St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner but there’s still plenty of time to get your home ready for the holiday. Browse through these Irish-inspired accents that will bring add a touch of luck throughout your space.

Green photo frame display

Have some family pictures hanging in the hallway? Change them out of their current frames and into some green ones. Be sure to make the change at the beginning of March so it’s worth the time and effort. If changing them all is too much trouble, opt for switching out a few frames that are scattered throughout your home.

Wrapped candles

Plain white candles can be made perfect for the holiday when wrapped with green ribbon. Simply wrap the candle and use decorative pins to hold the ribbon in place. Always monitor the flame to avoid the ribbon catching fire.

Colorful glass collection

A simple collection of green glass bottles can make a great centerpiece or display for shelves and mantles. Using a bottle or two as a vase for some white flowers is a nice way to enhance the look.

Framed clover decoration

Not only will a framed clover look great on a mantle or wall, it’s easy to make. Simply trace the shape of a clover onto a 1-inch thick piece of plastic foam and then cut it out. For texture, cover the shape with crinkled tissue paper, using spray adhesive to keep it in place. Add some green spray paint and antique glaze for enhancement and secure it to a framed piece of burlap with some hot glue. Design credit: ferncreekcottage.com

Four-leaf clover door hanging

Using spray adhesive, attach a variety of green scrapbook papers to pre-cut, wooden shamrock shapes (found at most craft stores). Once dry, trim the edges with a utility knife or scissors. Apply Mod Podge with a foam brush and after it dries, attach the shamrock shapes to a ribbon with glue dots. Scrapbook letters can be attached to each one to create sayings such as, “Kiss me I’m Irish,” or “Luck of the Irish.” Design credit: hoosierhomemade.com

Green pillow pop

Accent pillows can be a super easy way to bring in colors associated with holidays. For St. Patrick’s Day, switch out those winter-themed pillows with some green ones. If you prefer to make your own, our Burlap and Saloak are just two of our many green fabrics that would be perfect for your St. Patrick’s Day pillow project.
